Vegetarian Gyros with Halloumi

For 2 servings of 160 grams each

Ingredients

  • 200 g Halloumi cheese
  • 4 small mushrooms
  • 1 small onion
  • 1 small garlic clove
  • 1 tsp olive oil
  • Salt, pepper
  • Gyros seasoning

Preparation

  1. Halve the Halloumi lengthwise and cut it into strips. Wash the mushrooms and slice them. Peel the onion and garlic. Halve the onion and slice it. Press the garlic through a garlic press.
  2. Heat the oil in a non-stick pan and fry the cheese for 2-3 minutes until lightly browned. Add the mushrooms, onion, and garlic and continue frying for about 5 minutes. Season everything with salt, pepper, and gyros seasoning. Serve with tzatziki.
